After an extraordinarily eventful and exciting business year, company management was grateful for past successes and invited the entire staff to a fitting end-of-year celebration one Friday evening before the holidays. While a professional DJ provided musical entertainment, various “food trucks” catered to the appetites of all present. The cosy get-together in a gleeful atmosphere went on until late into the night.
In October Gebr. Wielpütz GmbH & Co. KG took part in the International Suppliers Fair in Wolfsburg for the fifth time. The IZB is Europe's leading convention for automotive suppliers, represents the entire supply chain, brings the decision makers of the industry together and is the marketplace for trailblazing innovations. Around 800 exhibitors from 32 countries presented their products and ideas on over 36,800 m2 of fairground at the Allerpark in Wolfsburg, naturally including a delegation from the largest automotive supplier from the Lower Rhine and Bergisches Land region.
At Gebr. Wielpütz GmbH & Co. KG, topics such as health promotion and team building have been top priorities since day one, and where can these be better addressed than at the 10th Miss Zöpfchen-Lauf (“Miss Braids Run”) in neighbouring Solingen.
Kim Armbrüster, who herself once represented Solingen, the “City of Blades”, by wearing the beloved braids, once more organised this run to fund the lighting of the former railway line, which now draws many exercise enthusiasts as a cycling route through the city centre. Naturally, a 14-head team from our company bravely mastered the five kilometres of the subsequent fun run, which was once again the highlight of the event.
During a highly varied 2016 business year following the company expansions of previous years, the management of Gebr. Wielpütz GmbH & Co. KG invited the entire staff, plus family and friends, to a proper summer party.
While the little ones had lots of fun in the bouncy castle, the somewhat bigger people enjoyed themselves at extra-long football tables. A live band played in the perfect summer weather and various food stands with delicacies from all around the world made sure the adults and children were fed and satisfied.
The success story of Gebr. Wielpütz GmbH & Co. KG as a globally active and independent family-owned company in the automobile industry continues.
After opening the second plant in neighbouring Haan through the expansion of Heating Technology, the next company expansion was already on the schedule for the following year. At the company's headquarters in Hilden, the new acquisition of the properties at Max-Volmer-Str. 16-20 allowed for the massive expansion of Assembly Processes and Logistics so that we could fulfil the growing needs of our thriving company as a partner for major automotive manufacturers.
In October 2014 Gebr. Wielpütz GmbH & Co. KG presented its innovative ideas and productive solutions at the 8th International Suppliers Fair in Wolfsburg. The IZB is the leading convention for automotive suppliers in Europe, as is connects the industries decision makers and showcases the entire supply chain as well as advanced technology.
At this, our company's fourth visit to the fair, some of the best brands were presented, because this was the first time that the organisers surpassed the magic number of 50,000 visitors at the large Allerpark fairground in Wolfsburg. Around 51,000 guests from all around the world were amazed by the products and ideas from over 800 exhibitors from 29 countries. Naturally, the expert delegation from Hilden's largest automotive supplier were excited by the high visitor count.
For each other, with each other, moving - this principle underlay the founding of the non-profit organisation in November 2012, which welcomed more than 4,300 runners and 228 company teams at its summer premiere and sent them on the path from Elberfeld to Unterbarmen.
Because this slogan reflects our own company so well, an impressive delegation from Gebr. Wielpütz GmbH & Co. KG was present for the first time at the second event in July 2014. This team courageously pushed through the five-kilometre challenge along federal motorway Bundesstraße 7, parallel to the support columns of Wuppertal’s famous Suspension Railway, and thus not only contributed to personal health and the corporate image, but also to a good cause.
